My name is William Yardley. I live in Los Angeles, California with my wife, Louise, a cat, and two rats. I'm currently employed as a Senior Systems Administrator at the California Institute of Technology.

I'm vegan, and have been for about 19 years. I like cooking and baking, although I don't always have the energy or time to cook as much as I'd like. I have a minor obsession with vegetarian Chinese food. I'm also very interested in Chinese tea, gong fu tea brewing, and Yixing teapots.

My parents live in Morristown, New Jersey, which is where I'm from (about an hour from NYC). My dad works at Columbia University, mom is retired from Drew University's theological school. I have a brother, Jonathan, who works for the Houston Dynamo major league soccer team, and sister, who lives in the SF Bay area.
